This is a short article on Wing Commander 4 taken from the November 1995 PC Gamer. The main point of interest is that it mentions that Origin were planning to make docking “more fun” but no details were given. There were no obvious changes to landing in WC4 that I can recall so I’m really curious to know what they had in mind:-

What I like about this review is that it takes completely the opposite tone of the last one disliking the movie segments for the poor plot but praising the gameplay. You really can’t please everyone it seems. This is the highest score so far at least but it’s a much better game than any of these reviewers would have you believe. I’ll see if I can’t dig out something more positive for the next (and final) of todays posts.
